Turtle Island

Last Journey for the Leatherback?
Leatherbacks are the largest and most endangered of all sea turtles. Turtle Island has been working with governments whose waters and beaches are critical for leatherback migration and reproduction, to help bring the population back from near extinction. Turtle Island also works on international fishing treaties and legislation to prevent accidental entanglement of hooking of leatherbacks during longline or coastal gillnet fisheries.
